The Round Tower. Copenhagen, Denmark. The Tower is 35 meter high with an inner cobbled siral ramp of 209 meter (686 ft) and was erected by King Christain the 4th intended as an observatory. He designed so he could ride his horse up the tower, thus the inner ramp. Tzar Peter the Great of Russia is said to have done the same ride. An annual bicycle race is doing a modern day stunt. The observatory is still used by the university and is the oldest working observatory in Europe.
